The Smiley is meant to be worn over jackets/sweaters and is oversized, so we have adjusted the sizing to accommodate the preferred US fit, still great for layering but not so that you are swimming in it. This beautiful women’s 100% boiled wool coat and intentionally unlined so that it regulates body temperature with the tiny air chambers that are created when the wool is subjected to heat and then shrunk, producing boiled wool. Geiger produces all of their own boiled wool in Austria to assure the highest quality. The boxy cut, rounded pockets and stand-up collar define this elegant coat. The bottom button is set lower than the rest, offering a unique design detail that adds visual interest. It can be easily accessorized with a scarf, pin, or choker necklace of pearls, further enhancing the unique European flair of this designer coat. Oversized so we recommend and have adjusted sizes one to two sizes down for a good fit still with room to layer. NOTE: SIZING BASED ON EURO SIZE 38. MEASUREMENTS: CHEST Front 21″, Across Back 23″, SLEEVE 29″ (measurement taken from top of shoulder beginning at the collar to the end of the sleeve) LENGTH 34″ (measurement taken from the bottom of the back of collar to end of the coat). If a tall size 8 or chest is the largest measurement, size 38 is needed, if under 5ft 5 inches, then size down to 36. Perfect winter weight and with the stretch of the boiled wool, easy to layer with comfort. Naturally, stain and water-resistant. We recommend hand washing.
